There are many types of tools and technologies that will get improvements in order to make them better, and this includes dental technology. Braces, for example, have a few different kinds depending on the preference of the patient and the judgement of a dental professional. One of the improvements is transitioning from metal braces to clear braces. Trinity residents might be under the impression that they are better than traditional braces, but this is only true in the cosmetic sense, as the functionality between both is still the same, unless we are talking about the clear retainers commonly known as Invisalign.
Are the Wires Clear on Clear Braces?
Many people think that everything about clear braces is transparent, but this is not true. The only clear part about clear braces is the brackets themselves. With clear braces, Trinity residents should know that there are no color bands that go around them, as the bands are clear to make them less noticeable. It is important to notice that the wires on clear braces are still going to be made of metal. This is a common misconception that many people have when looking into clear braces options.
What About Clear Retainers?
Another option that gets lumped in together with clear bracket brackets are the clear retainer options like Invisalign. These clear braces will achieve the same result as traditional braces, and they should be an option that a patient considers. When it comes to clear braces, Trinity residents who choose to have the retainer option should not eat with them on. Braces are mental to stay on teeth while a person is eating food, but this is not the case with the clear retainers. Once again, this option is not really better than clear braces or traditional metal braces, but it may be an option that someone is more comfortable with, or that it works with their lifestyle a little better.
