There is probably not a single person in our community who does not know what traditional braces are. What some of us might not know however is the fact there are more than one type of braces now is. For example, one of the more commonly asked solutions for braces are invisible braces. New Port Richey residents might have seen invisible braces advertised on the television or even online, and there are such options. When people talk to their dentist about invisible braces, they often want to know if the invisible braces are noticeable. There are two main types of invisible braces, both of which are less noticeable than traditional braces.
Braces with Clear Brackets
One type of invisible braces that patients might be interested in getting for themselves is braces with clear brackets. These types of braces are often not the type of braces that people know from advertisements, but they are just as effective at correcting alignment issues while being less conspicuous. When it comes to these invisible braces, New Port Richey residents should know they look very similar to traditional braces, but they have clear brackets. Keep in mind that the wires used to shape teeth are still going to be made out of metal, and they will not be made from a clear material.
Clear Retainer Braces
The other type of invisible braces that people ask their dentist about is the clear retainer-like invisible braces. New Port Richey residents should know that these are the more common options out of the two, typically from a product known as Invisalign. Even though this type of braces looks like a retainer, they function just like traditional braces. Instead of getting new wires every so often like with traditional braces, new retainers are going to need to be made in order to slowly shape teeth into a straighter position. These types of braces are oftentimes less noticeable than braces with clear brackets, but there will always be someone who will notice them.
